Fanat.az is a sports news portal running since 5 October 2008, covering football, basketball, volleyball, chess and combat sports.
The site was built on Smartbee's PHP news engine: an admin panel for the newsroom (admincp), article, user and language modules, sections, ad blocks and a maintenance mode.
In 2025 Smartbee built a new Next.js 15 version: Azerbaijani, English and Russian, category and article pages, search, a news feed, related stories and an authors slider, packaged for Docker and Kubernetes.
